I very often am aware that I don't smoke!!! And every time I do, I think of you. I went from shame, panting for air, and having violent coughing spells to joy, relief, being able to breathe well, and self-respect. Thanks to God and you, I have not had one puff for nine months and I just have to let you know. If you ever wonder if you're doing much good, have no doubt. The help you gave me is invaluable.
God bless you.
Charlotte D.
Mr. Jones,
I just want you to know that I received the four smoking cessation videos that I ordered and I have viewed them all. I will work all of them into the smoking cessation program I run based on the American Cancer Society smoking cessation program. These videos are going to be a huge asset to my program. I used one today in a smoking cessation class that I conducted and I asked my patients what they thought of it after we watched it. Uniformly, they thought the information was excellent and that it was presented by a real expert in the field. They thought that it would help them tremendously in their own struggle to be free of nicotine. These videos are all I hoped they would be. Through them, you will continue to change the lives of people you will never meet for the better. Every person who quits smoking will probably enjoy many more years of life with family and friends and you will have played a part in that.
I can't think of any better accolade!
Thanks again for making this asset available.

Hi David: I just wanted to say hi. I am still nicotine free 2 years later and all is well. I have gone back to school to pursue a BA then a MS in nursing and changed jobs to be here for classes, am now a Nurse Educator for the local VA long term care division and loving it! your program--and being smoke free has really changed my whole life. I was in the program quite awhile, but until I got off the cigarettes somehow I was stuck.

Hi David and Sharon, I referred a friend of mine to your website and just browsed it again myself. Well, it is 12 years now for me. What a blessing you are in my life, I'd be dead now if you had not been there to help me.

You helped treat me at in August of 2003. I called you a little over a year ago to get that additional push I needed for quitting smoking. You suggested Wellbutrin, and guess what? I did it! I haven't had a cigarette in over 10 months. Come August 8th I will have been sober for 2 years. I just want you to know how deeply appreciative I am for your counsel. You gave me the tools to change my life. I will never forget.
Susan
To David Jones: Thanks to you I am nicotine free, after a "few rounds" in your course. Don't fail to tell your client my dog story: that at age 14 years, the vet did a lung x-ray and asked me if she had been in a fire. No, I said, but she had sat night after night in the small TV room with me and my daughter, who smoked, and succumbed to second-hand smoke.
- Sally
Thanks for your book David, you truly are "The Expert". I have been nicotine free for a year now.

It has been seven years since I completed your Inpatient Stop Smoking Program. After many attempts to stop smoking alone, I turned it over to the Lord and he led me to you. Thanks.
- Jim S.
This is the best book (Freedom From Alcoholism) I've ever read on Alcoholism.

"I left your program a winner. You were the person who convinced me that I could quit smoking. I changed from chronically addicted to a nonsmoker during the few short days I attended your program. I am still a non-smoker, and even happier about it than ever. In a few months it will be two years! As you were able to point out to me, it was really not that difficult, and your book remains a constant reminder to me."
- Daniel H.
- Rick B."I had throat cancer and I tried everything to stop smoking but failed. I was desperate. I checked into the inpatient program and was treated for nicotine addiction. I can't say enough about how the information cut through the bull and got right to the point. Today I am a nonsmoker, and that means I'm gong to live."
- Kathy A."Yes! You Can Stop Smoking, Even If You Don't Want to is an easy-to-understand book about how to stop smoking and stay stopped. The information in the book put me on the road to long-term recovery for my nicotine addiction."
- Kathy K."David Jones saved my life. I was a completely hopeless smoker, so addicted that I could no longer work. His excellent spiritually based 12-step in-patient program enabled me to face my addiction and completely stop smoking. On February 10, 2001, I'll celebrate eight years of freedom from nicotine in any form. David's kindness, compassion, and understanding of the addicted smoker is a powerful force for recovery."
- Janice G."Thanks for going on the internet. Keep up the good work! Your program has helped me as an important part of my program of cessation and recovery. Now I am nicotine free for 30 months after smoking 1 -2 packs of cigarettes a day for 38 years. Hearing the voice of another addict was important for me."
- Jennifer H."After having tried to stop smoking many times before, this is the 124th day of my "smobriety." It is greatly due to the empowerment I received from your book "Yes! You Can Stop Smoking". The contents have transformed me. This time I feel an acceptance of my "smokeless self" that I hadn't before. I felt I must say THANK YOU! Because of your help I have not only stopped smoking, but have cut out alcohol and caffeine as well."
"It's been two years and four months since I've had a puff, thanks to you and your Stop Smoking Program."
- Saunie
"I am very grateful for your work and caring while I was in treatment with you. Over two and a half years have gone by and I am still smoke free! I am so glad that I invested the time, effort and money into going into your inpatient treatment. I tell everyone "why do it the hard way", give yourself a real chance and go inpatient. My recovery is a new dimension, like seeing the world in color instead of black and white. I am forever grateful to you as I remember our few days that began my new life."
- Kathy
"The group was delighted to get your books. They have read it and declared it to be the best! I am so glad I am free of cigarettes and owe it all to you."
- Helen
"I am so grateful that you wrote the book "Yes! You Can Stop Smoking". It has helped my mother-in-law a great deal. To her it is just like the bible in healing her body, mind and soul - she reads it every day. It gives her guidance and comfort in dealing with the withdrawal symptoms and makes it easier for her to cope with the emotional feelings she was having. Your book was the only perfect choice for stopping smoking."
